Warranty Policy
Limited Warranty on Complete Cranes, Hoists and End Truck Components for New Equipment
Ace World Companies hereafter referred to as the Company, guarantees all items manufactured by it against any defects of material and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date ready to ship from the Company. The Company makes NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OF THE ITEMS FOR THEIR INTENDED USE OR AS TO THEIR PERFORMANCE. Any statement, description or specification in the Company’s literature is for the sole purpose of identification of items sold by the Company and imparts no guarantee, warranty or undertaking by the Company of any kind. Components and accessories not manufactured by the Company are not included in this warranty and are warranted by their respective manufacturers. The Company’s warranty policy is effective upon the date the equipment is ready to ship from Company providing:
1) Within one year of receipt, the purchaser notifies Ace World Companies in writing of the defect immediately after it becomes known to the purchaser and requests warranty authorization, and 2) The purchaser and/or third parties perform no alterations, repairs, or services without written approval from the Company.The Company’s obligations under this limited warranty will be to repair or replace the product at the Company’s option, FOB the Company’s factory. All shipping costs, including overnight or expedited deliveries shall be paid by purchaser.
THE COMPANY SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO THE USER/PURCHASER UNDER THIS WARRANTY, OR OTHERWISE, FOR CLAIMS, EXPENDITURES OR LOSSES ARISING FROM OPERATIONAL DELAYS, WORK STOPPAGES, OR DAMAGES TO PROPERTY OR PEOPLE CAUSED BY DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. THIS INCLUDES CONSEQUENTIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGE OF ANY NATURE WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING THE COST OF OVERTIME OR PREMIUM LABOR.
THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT COVER NORMAL LUBRICATION, WEAR AND FRICTION PARTS. THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REVERSAL OF PHASES OCCURRING DURING START‐UP, THE INCOMING POWER OR ERRORS IN THE INTERCONNECTING WIRING INSTALLED ON THE EQUIPMENT. THE COMPANY IS NOT LIABLE UNDER THIS WARRANTY FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY IMPROPER INSTALLATION OR USE OF THE EQUIPMENT OR FOR LIFTING LOADS ABOVE RATED CAPACITY.
Components shipped with “controls loose” for installation by others shall be warranted for materials only. In addition the Company shall in no event be held liable in any manner for damages resulting from improper interconnections, terminations, or a lack of proper start‐up. ALL VECTOR, OPEN LOOP AND SCALAR DRIVES REQUIRE THE SERVICES OF A PROPERLY TRAINED TECHNICIAN FOR COMMISSIONING. Installer/technician is liable for all field‐tuning and programming to meet site requirements.
Limited Warranty on Hoists and End Truck Components for Installation on Existing Equipment
Ace World Companies hereafter referred to as the Company, guarantees all items manufactured by it against any defects of material and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date ready to ship from the Company. The Company makes NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OF THE ITEMS FOR THEIR INTENDED USE OR AS TO THEIR PERFORMANCE.
Any statement, description or specification in the Company’s literature is for the sole purpose of identification of items sold by the Company and imparts no guarantee, warranty or undertaking by the Company of any kind. The Company shall not be liable for proper operation or tracking on those components manufactured by the Company which are integrated into existing systems or mounted/installed on existing trolley frames or bridge cranes, or rail or support structures which are worn or outside of CMAA specification tolerances.
General Warranty Terms
The limited warranty covers parts for one year from date of shipment on items manufactured by the Company. The Company shall be free of any obligations, liabilities or claims under these warranty policies should the purchaser default on payment terms, including set offs.
How to Make a Claim
All items returned to the Company must have an Ace RMA number visible on packaging and paperwork. ITEMS RETURNED WITHOUT APPROVAL WILL BE REFUSED AND RETURNED FREIGHT COLLECT.
Claims will not be accepted or honored on equipment with past-due or delinquent payments.
Returned goods or defective materials will be inspected upon receipt and must be packaged adequately to enable evaluation of goods by the Company’s Quality Control department or third-party suppliers.
ITEMS RETURNED WITHOUT ADEQUATE PACKAGING WILL BE REFUSED AND RETURNED FREIGHT COLLECT. Returned goods must be in their original designed state (as manufactured). ITEMS ALTERED OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY WILL BE DENIED CREDIT.
To submit a warranty claim, call the Company at (817) 237‐7700 and ask for the warranty department. Always have the Company product serial number, a description of the problem, and a purchase order ready when calling to submit a claim. A purchase order is necessary to have any parts shipped. Upon review of the returned parts by the Company, the purchase order will be closed if the warranty claim is accepted. All shipping costs will be applied to the purchase order. Any parts not manufactured by the Company may be directed to the respective manufacturer of the component and will be subject to their service fees if found not to be a warranty issue or if the component is still found to be in working order.
